People say defence is the hardest part of the game, yet it is often neglected in beginners' classes. This book will guide you through the various methods available to the defenders right from the opening lead to the end of the hand. You will be shown how to help partner by giving signals with your discards and the cards you play. Even a simple play of high-low to show you hold only two cards in a suit is a valuable signal to give partner. The book ends with twelve case studies showing how to defend whole hands.
